Designing From the Inside Out: Kristina O. Bråteng Featured in Women in Design

We’re proud to see our CEO, Kristina O. Bråteng, featured in the March issue of Commercial Interior Design as part of their #WomenInDesign spotlight.
The article reflects on the early influences that shaped her path into architecture. Growing up in Marbella with parents working in real estate, Kristina spent weekends visiting villas, analysing layouts, views, and proportions long before she imagined leading an architecture studio. Those experiences sparked a fascination with how spaces function and how thoughtful design can shape the way people live.
Today, that mindset defines the approach at B8 Architecture. Architecture is always the starting point, and interiors are never treated as a separate layer. Instead, they are a natural continuation of the architectural concept—guided by the same clarity of thinking, technical discipline, and attention to detail.
The feature also touches on the growth of B8, from its early beginnings to a multidisciplinary practice delivering architecture, interiors and technical consultancy. Looking back at that journey is a reminder of how far the studio has come—and how proud we are to be part of it.
